WATCH: Tim Walz Booed by Michigan Football Fans, “Get Out Of Here”

Minnesota Governor and Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz was loudly booed over the weekend when he attended the Minnesota-Michigan football.  As Walz made his appearance in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Michigan fans and students burst into a roaring boo, while some shouted, “Get out of here,” and referred to him as a far-left communist.

Aside from the audible booing and other criticism, footage of the incident shows Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate receiving a lackluster response from the remainder of the large crowd who seemed relatively indifferent to his presence.  This sharply contrasts the reaction to former President Trump, who generates substantial praise nearly every time he makes a public appearance.

Users on social media commented on the response to Walz’s appearance at the game, with user writing, “THIS IS BRUTAL! Michigan college football fans BOOED Tim Walz as he entered the stadium for the big game against Minnesota Some were screaming, “GET OUT OF HERE!” This is what happens when they can’t bus in supporters to cheer like robots.”

Another person pointed out that it is odd to see such a hostile response toward the Harris-Walz campaign from everyday Americans when they seem to performing decently well in the polls.  “I don’t understand how Kamala is leading by so much in the polls. Yet when her and her counter parts go somewhere they get booed relentlessly. When Trump goes ANYWHERE he gets the loudest standing ovation there is,” they wrote.

Conservative activist Benny Johnson pointed out how different the response is when former President Trump makes an appearance at a college football game. “In stark contrast to Trump: – Tim Walz goes to college football game – Literally no one recognizes Tim Walz – No one c heers for Tim Walz at all – Tim Walz roots *against* Minnesota!? – Tim Walz is the Governor of Minnesota,” he wrote.
